Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our site address is: https://mpm-amsterdam.nl.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and the browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page of the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on our site, you can indicate whether your name, email address, and site may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so you do not have to re-enter this information when leaving a new comment. These cookies are valid for one year. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set several cookies to store your login information and your screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me,” your login will be saved for two weeks. When you log out of your account, the login cookies are removed. When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is stored by your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and only includes the post ID of the article you edited. This cookie expires after one day.

Embedded content from other sites

Posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly the same as if the visitor had visited that other site. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third‑party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that site.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

When you leave a comment, that comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve follow‑up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users who register on our site (if applicable), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including all data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase all personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
