About Us
Maatschappelijke Participatie Metropool Amsterdam (MPMA) was founded in November 2024, rooted in personal experiences and a deep commitment to social justice.
We understand what it feels like to stand on the sidelines. Not because of a lack of talent, but because systems and structures are not accessible to everyone. That reality forms the foundation of our work.
Our founder, Shari Jae Ebere, queer and living with a physical disability, has personally experienced how exclusion operates and how profound the impact can be when opportunities are not a given. With more than 25 years of experience in the corporate sector, she uses her knowledge and expertise to support people who struggle to find their way into employment. Our focus is on talent from the LGBTIQ+ community and people with a physical disability.
For us, inclusion begins with participation and Self‑determination. This means that you are welcome in the workplace, that you can be yourself, and that you have physical access to the place where you work, from the entrance to the meeting rooms and the restrooms. Accessibility is not a detail, it is a fundamental condition for full participation.
We provide advisory services, tailored support, and awareness programs focused on physical accessibility and participation. Not as a favor, but as a necessary step toward a labor market where diverse talent has space to thrive.
Our mission is clear: to break through structural exclusion and support organizations in creating accessible, safe, and inclusive environments.
Because work is more than income, it is recognition, connection, and perspective.
