Maatschappelijke Participatie Metropool Amsterdam

It starts with self‑determination

My name is Shari Jae Ebere

Maatschappelijke Participatie Metropool Amsterdam (MPMA) was founded from personal experience and a deep sense of social engagement. As a queer person with a physical disability, I know what it feels like to stand on the sidelines. Not because of a lack of talent, but because systems are not designed for everyone. That experience forms the core of MPMA: an organization committed to supporting people for whom access to work is not self‑evident.

We offer tailored support, training, and awareness—not as a favor, but as a necessary step toward an inclusive labor market. My mission is clear: to break through structural exclusion and create space for diverse talent. Because work is more than income. It is recognition, connection, and perspective.

Our Services

Tailored Support

At MPMA, we believe that everyone deserves a path that truly fits. That’s why we look beyond standard solutions. We take the time to understand your talents, possibilities, and wishes, and together we explore which steps will help you move forward.

Whether you need more self‑confidence, are looking for direction in your career, or need support to regain control of your situation, we think along with you and offer guidance that aligns with who you are.

Participation Advice

MPMA collaborates with Queer Work, an organization that supports LGBTQIA+ refugees and newcomers in finding employment, education, and future opportunities. Through Queer Work, participants gain access to coaching, workshops, language support, and career guidance in a safe and inclusive environment.

If you would like to participate in this trajectory, you can register directly via the ‘Sign up’ button. MPMA remains involved throughout the entire process.

Resilience In The Workplace

Our training programs help employees act with greater strength, awareness, and professionalism in challenging situations. We work with realistic exercises in a safe and calm setting, allowing participants to build confidence and resilience step by step. The result is a workplace where people feel safe and are able to continue working with enjoyment.

Practical Accessibility

MPMA helps organizations make their locations more accessible and user‑friendly. We review the existing situation and provide practical advice that can be applied immediately. We do not offer construction‑related advice, but we do provide clear insight into what is needed to ensure that people with a physical disability feel welcome and can participate safely.
